SUCCESS IS CONSEQUENTIAL TO CHOICE

Success is Consequential to Choice

For anyone who need to be get over pains and traumas of past, firstly one has to conquer their worst fears, cultivate courage and dare to expose oneself to opportunities that life offers each day. Most of us have a story of our own from the past that has changed our perception towards life. Memories of childhood and experiences of growing ages might have played a key role in evolving our present self. I have noticed that some people considers life experiences as stepping stones to successful future and some others considers themselves as victims of circumstances and fetters on the mental attitude of failure and depression.

I read an article on Susan Boyle, the Scottish singer who rose to fame through Britian’s Got Talent show 2009. With her dazzling performance at the event Susan amazed a crowd of millions on her first stage appearance. She had brought an insight to many that ‘Never to judge a book by its cover’. As the Bible Verses reminds:

“Do not look at his appearance or at his physical stature, because I have refused him [referring to Saul]. For the LORD does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.” (1 Samuel 16:7).

In an interview with the Daily Mirror she revealed that in her earlier days, she was bullied at school and beaten by teachers who were ignorant about children’s learning disabilities. In order to recover from losses that happened to her throughout ages like being left out of crowd due to learning disabilities, death of mother (on whom Susan was solely dependent), associated loneliness and other crisis in life, she leaned on to her faith, build up confidence and exposed herself to the fear of being discarded by the fast moving world around her. Even when Susan was on stage for her first performance, people where literally laughing and mocking at her. But the moment she revealed her talent and real self to the world, there was nothing that could stop her from being a sensational winner. She has captured the attention of public with her powerful voice and down-to-earth quirky attitude.

Life and success of this wonderful woman is worth looking into because she is a real example of inspiration:

• She lived up to her dreams, at the age of 48 (Better Late Than Never)
• She over powered her disabilities with determination (Try, Try hard, Hard and Harder)
• She turned out to be an overnight success with her amazing talent and confidence (Awareness of one’s own potentials and carrying the right attitude matters in Life)

It is easy to be carried away by the flow of life. But it requires the stamina of courage, confidence and determination to overpower the odds of life. If you are naive, ignorant or innocent, possibilities are that another person can have a control and power on you, making you feels helpless and clueless to get rid of situation.

From my personal experience with people and situation, I must tell you, when you stand up for yourself, your safety, your integrity and your existence, you are conquering the fear factor which is the only stumbling block from moving ahead in life. Kick start yourself, face your fears and you will see that your life is brighter and world is much more than bulling people and negative thoughts.

Cheers!!
